Collab: Tech Specialist

We are looking for a passionate and tech-savvy individual to join one of Maine’s most forward-thinking financial institutions. As a Collab: Tech Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating an interactive, engaging space where visitors can explore technology, share ideas, and connect with others to solve challenges together. Your ability to engage, educate, and empower people will help build stronger communities through the use of digital solutions and collaborative innovation.

At Town & Country Federal Credit Union, we believe that progress happens when people work together. Through Collab: Tech, we provide a space for meaningful discussions, hands-on learning, and new ways of thinking. Employees in this role will have opportunities to lead conversations, introduce visitors to emerging digital tools, and help members feel confident using technology in their daily lives. Beyond the walls of Collab, we actively support local organizations and initiatives, strengthening our ties to the community we serve.

This is not a traditional tech support role—it’s about inspiring curiosity, making connections, and helping people unlock new possibilities through technology.

  • Facilitate discussions and experiences that encourage collaboration and problem-solving, empowering visitors to share ideas and contribute to meaningful initiatives.
  • Represent Collab and Town & Country FCU at local events, fostering partnerships and community engagement.
  • Adapt quickly to new challenges and maintain a flexible approach to helping visitors explore different solutions.

Education & Experience

One to three years of similar or related work experience. 2-year college degree, or completion of special certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendor, or job specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills

This role requires a dynamic and engaging communicator who enjoys helping people feel comfortable with technology. The ideal candidate is adaptable, curious, and energized by personal interactions.

  • Strong ability to explain digital concepts in simple, relatable terms to individuals with varying levels of experience.
  • Natural ability to build rapport and create a welcoming environment, ensuring visitors feel heard, valued, and supported.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving setting, embracing new opportunities and challenges with enthusiasm.
  • A problem-solving mindset, eager to explore creative solutions and help visitors discover new possibilities.
  • Professional, positive, and highly motivated to make an impact in both the credit union and the broader community.
